Stuart & Martina are seeking students with a passion to serve. Applications for Executive Staff and Executive Appointments are currently being accepted. If you are interested in doing more for the community, your university and LSU students, please consider applying. No previous experience in Student Government is necessary. As a result of the run-off election yesterday, Stuart Watkins and Martina Scheuermann were elected to the positions of Student Government President and Vice President, respectively. The remainder of the election results will be posted shortly.

UCFY Candidate Forum Debate
2009 Groovin' on the Grounds

March 16th, 2009

Student Government along with Students on Target are excited to present Groovin' on the Grounds at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 21st, on the LSU Parade Grounds. Groovin' will be featuring Akon, Corey Smith, Dee-1 and DJ PK1. Students on Target works to promote alcohol-free entertainment. Groovin' on the Grounds is an alcohol free event. All are welcomed to attend.

This is expected to be an amazing concert, complete with a festival atmosphere surrounding the Parade Grounds. Student Government would like to thank the student body for a wonderful year, and hope you enjoy the incredible show on Saturday.

LSU Mass Transit System

Student Goverment has made an investment to develop the Mass Transit Master Plan through a $40,000 grant. Bids will be submitted until April 1st, then a company will be sleceted to operate the LSU Mass Transit System. Read the full version of the Master Plan.

Dodson West Gardens

During the holidays, construction began on Dodson West Gardens, the 2009 Class Gift Project. Bricks will soon be available for purchasing and engraving for $75.
