The LSU Student Government is composed of three branches, each of which function to represent the Student Body and improve their experience at LSU.
The Executive Branch is led by the President, Vice President and an appointed executive staff. The Executive Branch is responsible for initiatives and programs, as well as executing any acts of the Legislative or Judicial Branch.
Students are elected from each of LSU's senior colleges to represent their college in the Student Senate. Each college occupies a specific number of seats relative to its size. There are 70 senate seats.
The Judicial Branch acts as the ultimate mediator for disputes arising from Student Government activities, statutes and elections. The Judicial Branch is led by a Chief Justice, a Deputy Chief Justice and seven associate justices.
