2008-2009 Election Board

The Election Board, led by the Commissioner of Elections, is the Student Government body responsible for carrying out campus-wide elections. The Board strives to:

• provide guidelines to ensure honest elections

• ensure fairness and unbiased rulings to all candidates

• hold candidates to the highest level of accountability

Members of the Election Board provide candidates with all the information they need in order to run for an office in Student Government, as well as provide poll stations and workers to facilitate a smooth election day. The Board also sets guidelines for campaigning in order to ensure fairness. These guidelines form the Election Code.
