Finals are coming up, so
please take time to create a personal final exams
schedule, using the information provided by the
Registrar's Exam Calendar (http://tinyurl.com/lsu-fall09-exam-schedule).
Please alert your professors by November 5th if you have 3 or more exams scheduled on the same day, so that you can work out an alternative arrangement.
If you feel unsure of your proficiency in Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Spanish, French, Italian or Latin, feel free to stop by the brand-new CAS Tutorial Center in Middleton Library to get FREE assistance and information about the many programs hosted by the Center for Academic Success.
Please contact Student Government directly (sg@lsu.edu) if you anticipate that your course might violate 'Dead Week" restrictions. If a project or other component of the course is to be evaluated for at least 15% of the course grade in the week before Finals, it is quite possibly contrary to University policy. Please be sure to courteously inform your professor(s) of Dead Week policy (especially in the cases of new LSU professors) if there is an issue, suggesting that they contact the Office of Academic Affairs for clarification if they have doubts or concerns.
Student Government is committed to ensuring the full potential of students' academic performance, and will act as an advocate in cases where students feel that their rights have been violated. Furthermore, the Office of Student Advising & Accountability and the Office of Academic Affairs work tirelessly to ensure an optimum learning environment, and are sympathetic to students' concerns
